At the Ship - Day 4 - May 30

As we left London, we crossed the Tower Bridge that was just across from our hotel.  We walked across it the day before and had seen it as well on our last trip to London.

We were up early and aboard a motor coach at 8:45 a.m. on our way to Harwick Harbour.  We had to make 2 other stops at hotels on our way out of London to pick up other Royal Caribbean passengers.  It was a pleasant ride through the countryside.

It would have been even more pleasant had there not been two ladies that talked over their husbands for the entire 3 hour drive.   It was amazing how we learned their life story during the drive.  It will be our luck to end up with one or both of them later on an excursion.  What was really crazy was that they didn't even know each other -- they had just met!!!

We are on the ship -- Jewel of the Seas -- it's a nice ship and we have a great room.   I had to take a picture of the bed for my friends, Cherry and Fara.  They would be disappointed not to see it! We didn't lose our luggage or passports or any documents that we needed.  It's a good trip sooooooo far.

We set sail at 5 p.m. ( 6 hours later than OKC time).    The weather is cool and overcast but not too bad.  We will be on the ship all day tomorrow so should get rested up before arriving in Denmark.
We left the Port of Harwich about 5:30 p.m.  We received a send off from a group playing bag pipes and drums.   In fact they played for several hours before the ship left the dock.

Harwich was very pretty with a church sitting in the middle of the area.

At 6 p.m. we headed for dinner and had a nice view of the water and passing ships.   After dinner, we checked out the ship, hung out with the giraffes and went to the theatre and watched the Welcome Aboard show.
